Dear Colleagues

Lizette has been a great friend of mine for many years I shall truly miss her kind spirit, enquiring mind, her charm and her wonderful dress sense. We have a wonderful poem in Afrikaans that I loosely translate in her memory:

"There is no death, what we call life is only the up and down of our small boat as we go ascend and descend; and what we call death is nothing more than our disappearance in the horizon ...." Totius.

I shall attend her funeral and share your messages. I also share this photo which captures her spirit for me.

Kind regards

This is sad news. Condolences to her family, relatives and friends.

Dear Colleagues

This is indeed sad. Lizette was was unique in her ways of teaching and training. I remember vividly how she treated us to breakfast meetings in cosy restaurants, to discuss her assignments during our SARETI days in Pretoria 2009. She will surely be missed. May her gentle soul rest in peace,

Dear All,

I am saddened by this news! Just remembering her ever smiling face and glittering eyes of reassurance. I cannot forget the impact and how easily she demystified the various concepts of Philosophy and Bioethics.
